Some with a flattering word,

The coward does it with a kiss,

勇者則弒之以劍。

Some kill their love when they are young,
有些人尚在年幼時便手刃了摯愛,
And some when they are old
有些則非要等到垂垂老已才肯動手。

Some struggle with the hands of lust,
有些人沉淪在淫慾裡,
Some with the hand of gold;
有些則沐浴於金光之中,
The kindest use a knife,
最仁慈的會用把刀,
Because the dead so soon grow cold...
